The Rumi University
The Rumi University recognizes Love as President, Director, Professor, Teacher, and, most importantly, Subject. There are no degrees or certificates offered by the University. There are no formal classes. There is no schedule. There is no place to go, nor is there anything to do (or not do!). This is a free university. Practice your freedom!
Somewhere along the line you will discover a Way. You will make contact. A network will develop. In fact, many networks have already developed. The world has been seeded with infinite possibilities. It is most important that you show up to play your part!
The Internet is still free. Don't take it for granted. The "courses" listed below require sincerity, engagement, and deep conversation. Doors will open. Perceptions will be altered. Be part of writing a new story for all of humanity and for all the Earth! "Soul serves as a cup for the juice that leaves the intellect in ruin." -Rumi

SEARCH QUESTIONS:
How can human relations and cultures be re-imagined with us a fully integrated "part" of nature -- as stewards, not as "masters"?
How can we live within the ecological, resource, and spiritual limits of "parts" of nature, and apply our knowledge in the service of stewardship and reverence for all life?
How can we protect the diversity of life on this precious blue Planet and nurture a spirit of "the fraternity of creatures"?
How can we encourage a lively spirit of connectedness with our Planet and commit to lifestyles of "abundant simplicity"?
How can we develop an educational system that both effectively teaches academic skills and social responsibility and civic engagement? How do we include ecological wisdom, cultural respect and diversity, and personal growth in education?
How can we learn to respond to personal crisis and group breakdowns and conflicts in creative and constructive ways that minimize the possibility of violence, homelessness, drug / alcohol abuse, suicide, etc.?
How can we re-imagine community, cultural, political, economic, educational, and religious institutions so that they prioritize the full development of each person and the common good of all?
How can we re-imagine decision-making on every level to be inclusive of everyone -- especially those with the least amount of power?
How can we re-imagine a "Great Society" and require the full development and liberation of every person, a free "take it to your limit" educational system, access to food, water, health care, and safe shelter as human rights, and work with a living wage for every person?
How can we re-imagine our communities, national, and international relationships to include respect and appreciation for cultural and religious differences?
How can we guarantee equal rights and equal opportunities for women, for racial, ethnic, LGBT, and religious minorities -- for ALL minorities?
How can we re-imagine national and international civil relations without the need for exploitation and violence? How can we develop personal, local, national, and international alternatives to violence?
How can we eliminate the international arms trade, the proliferation of nuclear weapons, and all weapons of mass destruction?
How can we reduce the concentration of wealth and power into fewer and fewer hands / corporations / nations?
How can we develop equal access to mass media? How can we insist upon honesty in media?
How can we re-imagine the practice of male domination in cultural, economic, religious, and political institutions -- and replace the dominator paradigm with a fully integrated and "holistic" cooperative view and practice with corresponding policies?
How can we restructure our patterns of income distribution to reflect and include the "real wealth" and value of homemaking, child care, elder care, All care, public service and volunteering, community building, and the arts?
How can we encourage and practice a diversification within our political culture?
How can we encourage the development of technologies "with a human face" -- technologies that serve the well-being of people and the Planet seven generations forward?
How can we re-imagine local, national, and international economics to serve the common good and elevate the quality of life for everyone -- rather than economic growth without limitations and profits without regard for the future or the Planet?
How can we re-imagine religious institutions so women have absolute equality and equal power as men? How can we re-imagine religious institutions as leaders in interfaith respect and dialogue? How can we re-imagine religious institutions as teachers and practitioners of forgiveness and love without limits?
How can we cultivate a culture rich in compassion, tolerance, justice, and mercy?
How can we engage in personal transformation -- and so become sacred activists? How can we become agents of a global transformation dedicated to the creation of paradise upon this precious blue Planet?
How can we integrate the "practice of beauty" in our lives of sacred activism -- and so begin to re-orient world cultures to art, music, poetry, literature, theatre, film, movement, and "philosophical leisure" as essential for the full development of both the human person and the human community?
These are just a few core dialogue questions that are meant to be discussed in coffeehouses, while volunteering in soup kitchens, when ambling in a park, in preparation for a demonstration, during school lunch breaks, while standing at the office water cooler, when shopping at a farmer's market, instead of your prepared lesson plan, and just about any other place where two or three people have gathered... You could also type them up individually and, instead of fortune cookies, you could make "liberation" cookies and stuff them inside... a class could use marking pens and puff paints to write them on small pieces of cloth which could be strung together to become "liberation flags"... You could also contact theburninghand for more ideas...
